Filter Media – Birm

Birm is a trusted iron removal media used in water treatment systems worldwide for its reliable performance and low operating costs. Capable of removing up to 8 ppm of dissolved iron, it requires only a vigorous backwash to regenerate the media.

The media is best suited to water with a pH greater than 6.8 and low levels of organic matter. When these conditions are met, Birm provides efficient filtration and a service life of up to five years.
